Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall.
All the king's horses and
All the kings men,
Could not put Humpty Dumpty together again.
********************
How many of us fit into this category, working at putting ourselves back together again after an
unfortunate circumstance occurs? When nothing worked, I thought there was no hope, and I must
live with the pain and stress. But not anymore, there is hope; and our search goes on.
We always do our best to put ourselves back together whenever anything in our life goes wrong,
but we have to learn to accept the unacceptable. What happens in our life may not be acceptable,
but not until we can accept what has happened can we move on. What causes our suffering is how we
react to the incident. Sometimes we are not able to change the circumstances, but we do have a
choice on how we react to the situation.
In my last e-mail newsletter I talked about how glyconutrients helped put Hap back together, in
spite of his Parkinson's disease. Well it worked, and we are so blessed and grateful. This was a
challenge.
Even though we know there is no known cure for Parkinson's, we have been successful in being one
step ahead of the disease. Hap has kept functioning and maintaining a good quality of life and
doing what he likes to do best, walking.
MURPHY'S LAW - WHAT YOU THINKETH YOU WILL BECOME.
********************
Beware what people tell you, because it may just come true. Hap has been walking at least two miles every other day with no problem. In January a neurologist told Hap to get a cane to walk with for balance. He stated, if a Parkinson's patient falls and breaks a hip, they do not recover. We are aware that falling is very common with Parkinson's, but did not choose to put energy into this negative thought.
ACCIDENTS CAN HAPPEN
********************
Hap was in bare feet in our office and hit his foot against the caster of the chair. Because of his Parkinson's, he had impaired balance; so he fell and fractured his hip. (A cane would not have helped.) He was operated on Friday May 7th, and received a partial hip replacement. Very devastating to us.
Hap was doing so well with the new glyconutritional products that we thought we had a handle on his Parkinson's. Anyone can fall and if they fall the wrong way they could break a bone. Elizabeth has fallen broke her wrist twice, and in another fall, suffered a compressed fracture of the 9th and 12th ribs.
LIFE WILL THROW YOU A NUMBER OF CHALLENGES SO LET THE CHALLENGE BEGIN.
********************
Since the first day Hap fell, I gave him high doses of the Glyconutritional products. After Hap was admitted to the hospital, I was informed that I could not bring food or supplements into the hospital. I wanted to continue giving him his nutrients and I thought I might have to sneak the nutrients in.
I felt that the universe was checking on me to see if I could handle the circumstances that were presented to me. I must admit I was very frustrated that I could not bring special nutrients or food to Hap in the hospital.
SOLUTION

In his book "Prescriptions for Happiness" Ken Keyes Jr. addressed finding the happiness you would like to achieve. His three prescriptions are:
1. Put out for what you want but don't be addicted to getting it.
2. Accept whatever happens for now.
3. Turn up the love even if you do not get what you want.
4. Feel good about what you want.
I added the fourth prescription, which I feel is very important. Feel good about what you want to achieve. Don't be hesitant; because if you don't feel good about what you want, you may never succeed in getting it.
I FOLLOWED KEN KEYES PRESCRIPTION.
********************
1. I put out for what I wanted, to give Hap his glyconutrition and food while a patient in the hospital.
2. I accepted whatever happened for now, at this here and now moment, that I COULD NOT bring Hap his glyconutrition or food into the hospital.
3. I did not choose to create stress over something I could not change.
4. I felt good about what I wanted to accomplish, in regards to bringing Hap, his glyconutrition and food in the hospital.
TIMING IS ALWAYS PERFECT

When the orthopedic surgeon came in to see Hap about the surgery, I told him about the special nutrition I was giving Hap, and how I would like to continue while he was in the hospital. He replied that this would be fine. I asked if he would write in Hap's chart that I was in charge of giving Hap the nutrition and his Sinemet for Parkinson's, so the nurses would not object. I also give Hap special nutrition with his Sinemet to help reduce the side effects of the drug. (Feel good about what you want)
BECAUSE OF THE SURGERY, HAP'S PARKINSON'S KICKED IN
********************
After a few days in the hospital a new neurologist saw Hap and stated he was under medicated for his Parkinson's. I convinced him into waiting at least until Hap was discharged from the hospital and then re-evaluate him.
Two weeks later we went to see this new neurologist, and he stated Hap was doing fine and did not need to increase his medication. He was impressed with how well Hap was doing. He also stated that he would get Hap back to where he was before he fell, and maybe even better. (good attitude)
During this time I continued to give Hap large doses of the new nutrition, glyconutritionals. Being a professional kinesiologist and a muscle therapist, I continued doing our muscle balancing techniques to help to restore muscle strength. He is also receiving physical therapy.
HOSPITAL DEPARTURE
********************
Hap was discharged from the hospital on May 15th. We delayed his departure from the hospital by 3 days, so Elizabeth would be free to appear on a radio talk show on health matters. The nurses at the hospital stated that Hap for his age and with Parkinson's was doing great compared to other people with hip surgery.
Hap's rapid healing can be attributed to the use of glyconutritionals and Elizabeth's latest muscle balancing techniques.
Elizabeth also was a featured speaker at the Nevada Gifted and Talented program which Hap also attended. It was a busy first week at home as Elizabeth had several speaking engagements and presented a workshop on our Self-Help work.
Hap went from a wheelchair to a walker to a cane in three weeks. He is starting to learn how to walk without a cane. Fear of falling is Hap's greatest challenge. More and more he is gaining strength in his injured leg.
We are also planning a trip to Cottonwood AZ for Hap to receive 5 more treatments with the Life Vessel to balance Hap's autonomic nervous system-parasymthatic and the sympathetic.
Treatments at the Life Vessel was very helpful in turning Hap around to be able to function, but we kept saying he needed nutrition.
Today Hap is walking more and more without the cane. Soon he will be back to where he was before his fall.
